Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad formerly known as Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad established in 1926 has 17 full-fledged departments offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level courses in various branches of Engineering, Pure and Applied Sciences, Management and Humanities & Social Sciences. The Institute invites application from Indian Nationals for the contractual engagement of four (04) Sports Trainer (on contract) for the following associated sport:
1. Tennis 2. Table Tennis 3. Cricket 4. Yoga Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 34,000/- per month Increment: 3% Annual Increment on monthly remuneration. Eligibility Conditions:
Age: Upto 50 years. Age relaxation upto 5 years may be considered in case of extraordinary achievement in their area of expertise and outstanding work performance in IIT system for minimum 5 years.
(A) Minimum Educational/Professional Qualifications:
Graduation in any subject and Diploma in coaching (minimum 55% marks in Diploma) from SAI/NS-NIS or from any other recognized institution in the relevant Sports. OR 10+2 and Diploma in coaching (minimum 55% marks in Diploma) from SAI/NS- NIS or from any other recognized institution in the relevant Sports and participation in any of the following competitions:
1. Olympic Games
2. Senior World Championship
3. Asian Games/ Sr. Asian Championship
4. Commonwealth Games/ Sr. Commonwealth Championship
5. Youth Olympics
OR
B.P.Ed. (55% marks) from any recognized institution.
(B) Experience:
Two Years’ relevant experience in coaching of associated sport in any recognized
Institution/ Organisation.
Desirable: Relevant Experience in reputed Higher Educational Institutions in coaching/training of the students.
General Terms and Conditions:
• The engagement would be purely on contractual basis initially for a period of one (1) year and may be extended further up to a maximum period of four years subject to satisfactory performance, at the sole discretion of this Institute. Any claim for absorption at the regular position in the Institute will not be entertained at any point of time.
• The period of engagement of Sports Trainer (Tennis / Table Tennis / Cricket / Yoga) shall not exceed beyond the age of 60 years.
• The Sports Trainer (Tennis / Table Tennis / Cricket / Yoga) may be allowed to avail 2.5 days leave per/every calendar months of service (monthly actual basis and maximum 30 days in a year). No leave encashment or carry forward will be permissible on the termination or contract/renewal of the contract.
• The Institute may terminate the services of the Sports Trainer (Tennis / Table Tennis / Cricket / Yoga) in case he/she is unable to perform his/her duty to the satisfaction of the Competent Authority.
• The Institute shall also reserve the right to terminate the services of the Sports Trainer (Tennis / Table Tennis / Cricket / Yoga) at any time without giving any notice and also without assigning any reason.
• Sports Trainer (Tennis / Table Tennis / Cricket / Yoga) will have to perform 6 days of duty in a week. He/She will be required to attend duty on Saturdays, Sundays and other Gazetted Holidays or may be asked to attend duty after prescribed duty hours, in case of exigencies. No extra remuneration will be admissible for the same.
• The Sports Trainer (Tennis / Table Tennis / Cricket / Yoga) may continue to draw pension and dearness relief on pension, if any, by virtue of their past services rendered in any other organization, during the period of their engagement as Sports Trainer (Tennis / Table Tennis / Cricket / Yoga). This engagement as Sports Trainer (Tennis / Table Tennis / Cricket / Yoga) shall not be considered as a case of re-employment.
• No TA/DA shall be admissible to the Sports Trainer (Tennis / Table Tennis / Cricket / Yoga) for joining the assignment. He/She will not be allowed any
foreign travel at Institute’s expenses. However, he/she may be allowed TA/DA for travel inside the country in connection with official work assigned to him/her.
• The Headquarters of the Sports Trainer (Tennis / Table Tennis / Cricket / Yoga) will be at Dhanbad.
• Any resultant dispute shall be settled within the jurisdiction of Dhanbad.
• The candidate should apply in the prescribed format given below along with copies of all certificates/mark sheets/documents relating to their educational qualifications, sports participations & experience, if any.
• Mere fulfilling of the eligibility conditions mentioned in the advertisement does not confer any right to the applicant to be called for selection process. The Institute reserves its right to shortlist the applicants by putting higher criteria for educational qualification/experience.
