Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS) invites

 applications for Research Associate / Junior Research Fellows

Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), Delhi, a premier Institute of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) provides an excellent opportunity for young and motivated researchers to pursue a career in soldier support system research.

Applications are invited from young and meritorius Indian nationals who desire to persue research as Research  Associate  (RA)  and  Junior  Research  Fellow  (JRF)  in  ongoing  and  futuristic  research projects of DIPAS and it’s cell DIBER at Haldwani, for the following positions:

Application procedure:

Eligible candidates may send duly filled, ink signed application forms along with  complete bio-data in the prescribed format and self-attested photocopies of relevant documents through registered post to Head, HR Division, DIPAS, DRDO, Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi.

General Conditions:

1)For the Post Code RA-01:

i. Stipend: Rs. 67000/- plus HRA as per rules applicable in DRDO.

ii. Tenure: Tenure of RA would be limited to a maximum period of two years.

iii. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are   eligible to apply for RA position.  However,  the  candidate  must  produce  the  provisional  Ph.D.  degree certificate or awarded Ph.D. degree at the time of interview.

iv. Age Limit: The upper age limit for RA position is 35 years as on the closing date for the receipt of applications. The upper age limit shall be relaxable for the candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC as per Govt of Inida rules.

2)   For the Post Code JRF-01 to JRF-13:

i.Stipend: Rs. 37000/- plus HRA as per rules applicable in DRDO.

ii. Candidates posessing degree / provisional degree certificate are only eligible to apply. 

iii. Tenure: The tenure of JRF would be limited to a maximum period of five years. Selected JRFs will work as JRF for first two years  and will be promoted as SRF for the remaining three years, subjected to satisfactory performance assessed annually as per DRDO guidelines.

v.  Age Limit: The upper age limit for JRF position is 28 years as on the closing date for the receipt of applications. The upper age limit shall be relaxable for the candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC as per Govt of Inida rules.

iv. The selected JRFs may be permitted to register for a Ph.D. program (As per UGC norms).

How to Apply:

1)  Application form can be downloaded from the website www.drdo.gov.in and the candidate should  send  ink  signed  copy  of  duly  filled  application  form  along  with  bio-data  and supporting documents to Head, HR Division, DIPAS, DRDO, Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi, through registered post. (NOTE: Post Code as per the advertisement should be written on the envelope and the application form. Applications without post code as per advertisement and incomplete/ partially filled will be rejected).

2) Last date of receipt of application.

3) Shortlisted candidates will be informed through e-mail to appear for the interview.

4) Reporting time shall be 0900 – 1000 hrs on the date of interview, at the main gate reception of

DIPAS, Timarpur, Delhi-. Late comers will not be allowed at any cost.

5) Candidates must carry original certificates/ testimonials and a set of supporting documents with respect to qualifications and experience, for verification at the time of interview.

6) Candidates presently employed in Government Departments/ PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies will be required to produce NOC issued by their employer at the time of interview.

7) Please note that electronic items like Smart phone/Mobile phone/Pendrive/Laptop/CD-ROM

etc. are not allowed inside DIPAS premises.

8) TA/DA may be claimed by the candidate as per the actual train/bus fare by the shortest route limited to sleeper class railway fare subject to verification of travel documents / travel tickets.

9) Number of vacancies may change as per organizational requirement without any prior notice.

10) This is a temporary research position offered by DIPAS, DRDO. 

11) It may be noted that mere offer of fellowship does not confer any right of absorption in

DRDO.

12) No candidate shall claim admission as a matter of right. The admission shall be entirely at the discretion  of  the  Selection  Committee  of  the  Institute,  which  may  refuse  to  admit  any

candidate without assigning any reason thereof.

13) Director DIPAS reserves the right to scrap the whole selection process anytime, without any prior information and reason assigned therefor.

14) How to reach the venue of Interview:

DIPAS is located at a distance of 1 km from Vishwavidyalaya Metro station, Delhi towards Timarpur area and nearest land mark is RAC Guest House, DRDO,Timarpur, Delhi.
